1. What’s the price per truckload and what is the size of the truck?

This is a two-parter, but both VERY important to ask. You want to make sure you go with a company that’s going to give you the best value for your dollar. Many companies have only a 15 cubic yards truckload size. This means they’ll have to make more trips, and it may cost you more for their travel time. At Junk Bunker, we use a 17 cubic yard truckload size to accommodate more unwanted items! It’s important to know exactly what you’re getting for the price.

2. Is this a flat rate, or are there additional fees along the way?

Many junk removal companies have additional fees associated with different items that they may not mention upfront. You want to make sure you know exactly what they are charging, for the specific items you’re having removed. It can be extremely stressful if the company mentions to you, on the job, that a specific item will cost you more to remove. With Junk Bunker, you aren’t charged for removing specific items, it’s all based on the truckload.

3. Is your junk removal company licensed and insured? Do you have workman’s compensation?

This may seem like a no-brainer, but not every business holds this level of professionalism. You want to make sure you have an established and insured junk removal company to ensure the safety of your family and home. Some smaller companies do not have proper insurance, or may not have workman’s comp for their employees, and could technically stick you with a legal issue. 4. What items does your junk removal company take? What items do you not take?

You want to make sure ALL of your unwanted items, or junk, are taken care of, so you don’t have to go through this process again. Some junk removal companies won’t take items like mattresses, electronics, tires, appliances, and more. 5. Do you have reviews or testimonials from past customers?

Do your homework! Make sure you select a junk removal company that has had many successful jobs in the past, and you know will do a great job. Anyone can tell you they’re trustworthy, or great at what they do, but places like Google can help you see what past customers have said!
